At the 2012 Junior Convention, the Juniors requested that they should have a say in what the lecture topics should be at education events. The 2013 Central Junior Council (CJC) is pleased to announce that it decided to grant this request by bringing back the Junior Educational Weekend (JEW). The CJC reached out to the junior membership and asked them what they would like to learn about. Their voices were heard, and the top three choices will be the subjects of the lectures held at JEW. The topics will be Elections in Armenia, Sports/Athletics in Armenia, and Armenian Artists.

JEW will be held from April 19-21st at Camp Haiastan of the AYF in Franklin, MA. Juniors will sleep in cabins and seniors will act as their counselors. Cabin requests can be made on the online application.

After arrival, Juniors will acquaint each other with fun icebreakers and hang out during free time. On Saturday, the educationals will be held and there will be a debate between the Juniors. There will be a Genocide Remembrance Vigil on Saturday night, followed by singing Heghapoghagan songs.

Juniors and Seniors are asked to arrive at 8:30pm on Friday night and arrange to leave by 9am Sunday morning. Transportation will be arranged by local chapters, so contact your junior advisers for details. The application fee is $30 for juniors and seniors and application costs will cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday, as well as a special goodie bag.
