2013 Midwest Junior Olympics Hosted by Granite City “Antranigs”

The Granite City “Antranig” AYF chapter is excited and ready to welcome all to southern Illinois for the 2013 AYF-YOARF Midwest Junior Olympics. A weekend of athletics, family and fun awaits you. Look for more details in the coming months as we finalize the weekend’s events.

WHAT: AYF-YOARF Midwest Junior Olympics

WHEN: July 12-14, 2013

WHERE: Granite City, IL

WHO: All Midwest AYF chapters (Detroit, Chicago, Racine and Granite City) and their families and friends.
*East Coast ungers are always encouraged to attend and compete.

Hotel

We’ve reserved a block of rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Collinsville, IL (1000 Eastport Plaza Dr Collinsville, IL 62234). *Book your room by June 19 and mention “AYF” to get the special rate of $99/night. The hotel is in a great location with plenty of dining, shopping and entertainment options nearby.

Facilities

The athletic games on Saturday, July 13 will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Edwardsville High School track facilities (6161 Center Grove Rd, Edwardsville, IL 62025). The track is located behind the high school and there is plenty of space for parking. Concessions will be available.

The “Antranigs” can’t wait to welcome you to our community to enjoy another successful Junior Olympics! The Granite City AYF has seen an increase in its juniors membership recently and they’re excited to begin making lasting friendships with our regional ungers.
