AYF-YOARF ER Condemns Actions of Azeri Military Forces

Sireli Ungerner,

It has recently come to our attention that Azeri military forces have been violating the proclaimed cease-fire on the Azerbaijan-Kharabagh border, as explained in the following articles:

As the articles state, these attacks at the Line of Contact undermine the efforts of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group. This group has been working towards peaceful solutions to end the conflict of Kharabagh. The attacks began occurring on the eve of the Azerbaijani and Armenian Foreign Ministers’ negotiations for peaceful resolution of this conflict. The U.S. Minsk Group co-chairman, James Warlick, noted that these attacks are counterproductive to conflict resolution; however, he failed to condemn Azerbaijan for provoking the attacks. The AYF-YOARF Eastern Region Central Executive would like to publicly condemn the actions of the Azeri military forces. These acts of violence will only hinder progression toward peaceful conflict resolution, and we mourn the loss of our fallen soldiers.

Ungeragan Cherm Parevnerov,

AYF-YOARF Central Executive, Eastern Region
