Since 1992, the AYF Internship in Armenia has been one of the AYF’s most successful programs since it first began after the 2nd Independence of Armenia. Over the past 25 years, 180 participants have gone to volunteer and reconnect with their Armenian identities in Armenia during the summer. Interns have worked with hospitals, businesses, support centers, designers, engineers, and technology companies. The program directors seek out AYF members who are at least 18 years old to be part of this unique experience. Interns get the opportunity to not only volunteer within a group or company which relates to their field of study, they also are able to go on weekly excursions to see all of the amazing sights that our homeland has to offer. Interns also live in the heart of the capital, Yerevan, and experience all of the city’s unique and fun activities. This opportunity has brought many amazing memories and friendships throughout the years, while also providing professional experience to young Armenians.
The AYF Internship in Armenia Director is by far one of the best leadership experiences that the AYF-YOARF has to offer. We are looking for applicants who have a proven history of leadership roles as well as a burning passion to inform others about our homeland. The Internship Director is the face of our Internship program and helps the AYF-YOARF Eastern Region to establish a connection with the AYF both in Armenia and around the world. The Director’s main responsibility is to show the Interns all the amazing things that Armenia has to offer to them, to inspire the next generation of repatriates.
