The Armenian Youth Federation Youth Organization of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (AYF-YOARF) Eastern Region is seeking an able, qualified, and driven Director for the 2026 AYF Internship in Armenia program that will take place from June 12th to August 15th, 2026. The Director must be in Yerevan prior to the Interns’ arrival to make arrangements accordingly.

PROGRAM DATES: June 12th – August 15th, 2026, 2026 (9 weeks) (Director(s) should arrive prior to the interns’ arrivals/start date and leave no earlier than the program’s end date)

APPLICATION DEADLINE: February 1st, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.

ELIGIBILITY: Interested applicants for the position should fluently speak Armenian and ideally have spent a substantial time in Yerevan and be accustomed to the local lifestyle in Armenia. The Director should be at least 21 years of age.

EXPECTATIONS: With assistance from the AYF Central Internship Council (CIC), some responsibilities of the Director will include (but are not limited to):

– Plan and execute excursions (typically outside of Yerevan) for the weekends

– Find appropriate jobs and place interns in their chosen field of study

– Arrange housing in Yerevan for the Interns and handle communication with landlord (rent, utilities, etc.)

– Adhere to the program budget set by the CIC and ensure money is being spent consciously

– Plan and execute community service project for interns

– Ensure Interns are working 30 hours/week, attending Internship programs and excursions

– Facilitate Interns’ blogging and collaborate with AYF PR Council to post pictures throughout the summer

ACCOMMODATIONS AND PAYMENT: Travel to and from Armenia for the Director is covered by the AYF-YOARF along with housing throughout the summer. The Director(s) will also be provided with a stipend of $2,000 for the duration of the program to help pay for any other additional expenses and costs they obtain in Armenia.

Applicants must know that this position requires great responsibility such as coordinating daily activities and excursions for the interns outside of their respective jobs. It is also required for the Director to live with the interns over the two-month duration of the program.
