Any incident involving drugs or alcohol will result in the immediate dismissal of the member. Dismissal of the member is at the expense of that member; there are no second chances. RANDOM BAG SEARCHES MAY BE CONDUCTED, DEPENDING ON THE EVENT.
Be respectful of your peers and fellow members. The event coordinators have set curfews, event & mealtimes, and basic rules of conduct. You are expected to adhere by these rules. Failure to adhere to these rules of conduct will result in a phone call to a parent/guardian, or dismissal if the behavior is consistent.
Appropriate attire is expected and mandatory at every event. If at any time the attire is deemed inappropriate, it must be changed immediately.
Any foods containing nuts/made in a facility with nut products are prohibited on camp grounds and will be confiscated upon arrival.
As a reminder, everyone at the event is a guest representing the AYF-YOARF Eastern Region. Should a member be caught in an act of vandalism, they will be subjected to disciplinary action by the AYF-YOARF Eastern Region and be held fully financially responsible for all damages.
Under no circumstances should anyone leave campgrounds after arriving to Junior Seminar. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in dismissal of the member.
Any behavior that is deemed bullying will be punished accordingly, and may result in a phone call to a parent/guardian, or dismissal if the behavior is consistent.
Any member caught with the following prohibited items will be punished accordingly; any weapons or electronics (i.e. phone, laptop, iPad, AirPods, iPod). Cell phones will not be permitted for Juniors. Cell phones will be collected as Juniors arrive at the event. Juniors will be able to contact their parents in an emergency by using Seniors’ phones.
Any member who is removed from the facilities will not receive a refund. All campers are required to follow the rules set forth and failing to do so may result in a loss of privilege to participate fully in camp activities.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the Armenian Youth Federation (“AYF”) program, related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:
The risk of injury from the activities or events involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and,
The risks associated with exposure to and infection by COVID-19 or any other communicable disease is significant, and participation in the activities or events will increase the risk that I may be exposed to, contract, or spread COVID-19 or some other communicable disease. I acknowledge that COVID-19 is extremely contagious and can cause serious and potentially life-threatening illness and even death; and,
I acknowledge and knowingly and freely assume all such risks of injury, infection, or loss associated with the activities or events, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence, recklessness, or intentional conduct of the releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless the Armenian Youth Federation (“AYF”), their officers, officials, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“Releasees”), with respect to all and any injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I expressly agree that this waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by applicable laws, and that if any portion of this waiver is found to be void, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.

Junior Seminar is the largest Junior event that the AYF-YOARF Eastern Region conducts annually. The focus of the weekend is to educate and empower the Juniors while also providing an opportunity for Juniors to meet members from other chapters to build lasting friendships. Seniors are, undoubtedly, an integral part of any successful Junior Seminar. Although Seniors who attend Junior Seminar are able to see friends from other chapters and socialize, this benefit is secondary. Seniors who attend Junior Seminar are there to ensure the safety of the Juniors and to help create an educational and supportive environment. Junior Seminar is also one of the only times when many Juniors see Seniors outside of their chapters interact with other Seniors and Juniors. We need to set an example of how we speak with one another and treat each other.
For transparency and clarity, the Junior Seminar Council is outlining the following expectations for Senior participants at Junior Seminar 2026.
To improve the senior experience, Seniors will be granted a say in their preferred times for staff meetings and night watch shifts. For this reason, all Senior members are expected to adhere strictly to their assigned meeting time, and their assigned night watch time and location; while on night watch, Senior members will provide their utmost attention to ensure that Junior members are safe and remain in their cabins. If a Senior member discovers that a Junior member is not safe/not in their cabin, they must work with night watch to bring the camper back to their respective cabin, and if necessary, contact JSC immediately. Failure to fulfill the responsibilities of night watch will result in disciplinary action determined by JSC and the CE. While the JSC is hopeful about this new night-watch system, we ask for all Senior members to participate in making it a success for all members attending Junior Seminar.
Counselors should never leave LITs alone and be responsible for Juniors. Leaders in Training are training and learning about their responsibilities and can only do so by watching and shadowing counselors.
Seniors must take every precautionary measure to ensure that Juniors are in the right place at all times. This means that Seniors should be awake with Juniors. If Juniors are not where they should be, Seniors may be held responsible.
Seniors will in no way encourage Juniors to sneak out and will notify JSC immediately upon discovering a Junior not in their cabin after lights out. Senior members will be held responsible for any Junior in their cabin who is not where they should be.
If a Junior in your cabin possesses any item deemed prohibited by the Zero Tolerance Policy (i.e. any weapons or electronics), Senior members are expected to confiscate and notify JSC immediately.
Seniors must only use appropriate language at Junior Seminar with all Ungers and Ungerouhis. Seniors will not engage in swearing, using profanities, or using derogatory language in English, Armenian, or any other language.
Seniors should only use their phones for emergencies. Phones should never be used in front of junior members, including but not limited to lectures and mealtimes, unless for photography purposes.
Seniors need to arrive on time for all activities. This will likely mean familiarizing yourselves with the camp map prior to or immediately upon arrival.
Seniors will attend all lectures with their Juniors. Seniors will model positive behavior for the Juniors and will ensure that Juniors are being respectful of their lecturers.
Senior members will “maintain a fraternal attitude” at all times.
Seniors will sit with their cabins during all meal times and ensure that their Juniors are eating. They are also responsible for making sure that Juniors clean up after themselves and are respectful of the facilities.
Seniors will not use any substances (including but not limited to vapes, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, hookah) while at Junior Seminar.
Seniors who witness Juniors using any substances including but not limited to vapes, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, or hookah, will notify JSC immediately.
These expectations are especially important as the AYF-ER strives to continue to develop a good relationship with Ligonier Conference Youth Center. We, the members of Junior Seminar Committee 2026, are doing our best to minimize any obstacles we may experience over the course of the weekend, however, this responsibility will be shared with our Senior members. Any Senior member who violates the aforementioned expectations set forth in this Code of Conduct will be subject to discipline under Article X of the Operating Guide. Failure to meet these required expectations will lead to disciplinary action by the Central Executive.

I also give permission for pictures/videos in which I appear to be used in camp brochures, fliers, and/or other promotional materials published and distributed by the camp without compensation.
WILDLIFE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK
I am aware that because of the nature of attending an outdoor adventure camp, I may be exposed to external risks that are uncontrollable due to the wildlife and habitats found in a natural outdoor setting and that these risks could result in injury, illness or other harm. These risks include, but are not limited to viruses and communicable diseases gotten from insect or tick borne pathogens, water borne pathogens, animal borne pathogens, or organisms found in various natural habitats. Although Ligonier Camp and Conference Center takes seriously our role of protecting individuals from these potential risks, it is impossible to remove all dangers from lakes, ponds, woods, fields, rustic cabins, and all other natural and manmade settings where wildlife can be found.
Ligonier Camp Liability Form Continued(Required) I agree to the LCCC terms and conditions listed above.
By checking the box below I am acknowledging that I am aware of these risks and will not hold Ligonier Camp and Conference Center liable for any of the above-mentioned or unforeseeable dangers and agree to take financial responsibility for the potential resulting injury(ies), illness(es) or harm.
ANCA Rapid Responder Consent I consent to have my information shared with the ANCA to enroll in the Rapid Responder program.
